Jessica Ng
Ms. Jessica Ng is the Program Director at Talent Prep. With the concentration on academics, her forte is mainly test preparation such as AABL, Stanford Binet, NYC Gifted & Talented Assessment, and Common Cores ELA and Math. As the Program Director, Ms. Jessica focuses on managing the curriculum and staff development of the program. Her primary tasks include managing schedules and instructors, communication with parents, creating personalized lesson plans for each student, conducting assessments and mid evaluations for students and tutors. Trained directly by the Board of Education in the Common Core standards, she caters the lesson plans for students to develop and achieve milestones while implementing strategies from the Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold.
Prior to Talent Prep, Ms. Jessica worked with children of all ages in many different fields. She was an Education Director for a head start program at Cardinal McCloskey Community Services, where she coordinated and supervised the work of more than 15 staffs in developing and maintaining the program. She’s assisted many families in obtaining educational grants and ensuring that their children get the services they need. This includes special needs, UPK, Kindergarten and Gifted & Talented testing applications.
Furthermore, Ms. Jessica’s teaching background displays a diverse understanding of the various types of education available to families. Ms. Jessica has an extensive teaching experience. She first started as a Head Teacher and Director’s Assistant at Red Apple Child Development Center and later trained at Transfiguration Roman Catholic School as a 3rd grade teacher. In the early stages of her educational career she also worked at the New York Chinese School as a teacher’s assistant, assisting children in their Chinese homework and in class assignments. Ms. Jessica’s education consultation is well rounded and can provide insights to many of the schools in district 01 and 02 community.
Jessica received a B.A. in Biology and English from Binghamton University (SUNY) and completed her M.S. in early childhood education at Grand Canyon University (Arizona). With a New York State teaching certificate for education, she hopes to make a difference in the community she serves.
